Social determinants of health (SDOH) are the conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks.

SDOH can be grouped into 5 domains:

Discrimination and oppression know no bounds, which is why our dedicated team of volunteers works tirelessly year-round to support individuals in need. We provide crucial assistance in navigating local government services, offer translation services, and help with completing essential government forms. By volunteering to take calls, you can witness firsthand the daily challenges our community faces and make a tangible difference in the lives of those who are struggling.

Volunteers in action

2020-2021 Helping coupe with the pandemic effects in the family. We organized events thru video conferences with information and activities, keeping family members engaged virtually with others for moral support. Once the local government lifted the physical restriction, we got together at parks and other venues for families to engage in physical activities like baseball, basketball, soccer. We also organized parties for those who did not celebrate their birthday because of the pandemic restrictions.
